Monthly Network Applied by Notfunk Deutschland

In 2012 we continue to apply our monthly network on the Echolink system. On the second tuesday of every month at 1900 UTC the Echolink conference with the node number 359723 will be activated by the controller station DK0NOT. DK0NOT will be operated by different members of Notfunk Deutschland.

To organize the network the registration of all participating stations is required. This could be done via e-mail to pinschke.s@notfunk-deutschland.de or by an initial call to DK0NOT at the Echolink node on the scheduled day from 1845UTC until the beginning of the network operations.

We are planning to establish a linkage between the monthly Echolink conference and a simultaneous operated network on HF additionally. The operations of both networks will be initiated in March 2012 for the first time and will be repeated in May, July, September and November. We expect to gain some experiences in NVIS antenna operations and in the impact of the HF's propagation on emergency communications. The schedule and the frequencies will be published on our website and via facebook just in time.

Due to the fact that most of the participating stations are located in Germany the Echolink network is normally run in German language. In case that stations from abroad are interested in joining our Echolink network or our upcoming HF network we are able to operate in English language partially. Stations from abroad are very welcome to join us!

European Emergency Communications Conference in Germany (EUREC-DL) 2012

thumbnailThe EUREC-DL 2012 offers representatives of authorities and relief organisations, activists and interested individuals an outstanding opportunity to get information on recent activities and trends in emergency communications. We would like to invite all our guests to exchange ideas and to make new contacts.

The programme consists of lectures and talks, an exhibition of equipment and related products and demonstrations of emergency communications operations. The lectures and talks will be mostly in German language approaching different aspects of networking and its impacts to emergency communications.

The demonstrative part of EUREC-DL 2012 is giving a vivid insight into emergency communications operations to the visitors. As a result of the planned contest event all activists taking part will gain new knowledge. It is also intented to offer a challenge by matching with other groups.
